Ans:

A farmer is a person who runs his family by farming or cultivating lands. He is a very important person in our society. Usually, he is poor and lives in a very poor condition. His house is made of corrugated iron sheets or straws. An ideal farmer lives a very simple life. He lives from hand to mouth. Since he has no land, he takes lease of land on the basis of sharing the crop between him and the land-owner. He works very hard to prepare the land for planting or sowing crops. For the farmers’ growing and reaping the harvest, we can have our food. Like others he has also both pressure and pain in his life. He finds pleasure when he has a good harvest. But he feels pain when his crops are destroyed by droughts, floods etc. In our society, a farmer is meant to belong to the lower class. But in reality, an ideal farmer is an asset to the country. He contributes a lot to the economy of the country. We can better their overall condition taking concerted steps.  

অনুবাদঃ একজন কৃষক হলো এমন এক ব্যক্তি যে কৃষিকাজ বা জমি চাষ করে সংসার চালায়। সে আমাদের সমাজের একজন অতি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ব্যক্তি। সাধারণত সে গরিব এবং অত্যন্ত দরিদ্র অবস্থায় বাস করে। তার ঘর ঢেউটিন বা খড়ের তৈরী। একজন আদর্শ কৃষক খুব সাদামাটা জীবনযাপন করে। সে দিন আনে দিন খায়। যেহেতু তার জমি নেই সেহেতু সে তার ও জমির মালিকদের মধ্যে ফসল ভাগাভাগির ভিত্তিতে জমি ইজারা নেয়। ফসল রোপণ ও বপনের জন্য জমি প্রস্তুত করতে সে খুব কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে। কৃষকদের ফসল জন্মানো ও কাটার জন্য আমরা খাবার খেতে পারি। অন্যদের মত তার জীবনেও আনন্দ ও দুঃখ আছে। যখন ভালো ফসল হয় তখন সে আনন্দ পায়। কিন্তু যখন খরা, বন্যা ইত্যাদিতে ফসল ধ্বংস হয়ে যায় তকন সে কষ্ট পায়। আমাদের সমাজে একজন কৃষককে নিম্ন শ্রেণির হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা হয়। কিন্তু বাস্তবে একজন আদর্শ কৃষক দেশের সম্পদ। সে দেশের অর্থনীতিতে অনেক অবদান রাখে। সমন্বিত পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণের মাধ্যমে আমরা তাদের সার্বিক অবস্থার উন্নয়ন সাধন করতে পারি।
