Ans:

A typical rainy day occurs in the rainy season. On such a day it rains continuously. The sky is covered with clouds and the nature is dark and gloomy. Sometimes the sun remains invisible. Clouds floating in the sky create a charming scene. A poetic mind gets much pleasure here. However, the day has its demerits to a great extent. A rainy day may be somehow enjoyable to the rich, but the poor suffer a lot. The day-labourers cannot work and earn their livelihood. So their family remains half-fed or unfed. Sometimes water guests into their rooms through roofs of straw and causes indescribable sufferings to them. On a rainy day, stretched umbrellas are seen in great numbers and people slip over on slippery roads. Birds and animals are wet with rainwater and they remain ill-fed all the day. Passers-by without umbrellas get drenched and their clothes get spots of mud. On this day, children enjoy their time playing various indoor games. I spend the day gossiping with my brothers and reading various storybooks. To conclude, a rainy day, with all its merits and demerits, is a natural phenomenon.

অনুবাদঃ একটি গতানুগতিক বৃষ্টির দিন বর্ষাকালে সংঘটিত হয়। এমন দিনে অবিরত বৃষ্টি হয়। আকাশ মেঘে ঢাকা থাকে এবং প্রকৃতি অন্ধকার এবং বিষণœ থাকে। মাঝে মাঝে সূর্য অদৃশ্য থাকে। আকাশে ভাসমান মেঘগুলো চমৎকার দৃশ্যের অবতারণা করে। কবিমন এখানে অনেক আনন্দ পায়। যাইহোক, এমন দিনের যথেষ্ট অসুবিধাও রয়েছে। ধনীদের নিকট বৃষ্টির দিন কোনো না কোনোভাবে উপভোগ্য হতে পারে, কিন্তু গবিররা অনেক দুর্ভোগ পোহায়। দিনমজুররা কাজ করতে এবং জীবিকা অর্জন করতে পারে না। ফলে তাদের পরিবার অর্ধাহারে বা অনাহারে থাকে। মাঝে মাঝে খড়ের ছাদ দিয়ে পানি কক্ষের ভিতরে প্রবেশ করে এবং তাদের জন্য অবর্ণনীয় ভোগান্তি সৃষ্টি করে। বৃষ্টির দিনে অনেক প্রসারিত ছাতা দেখা যায় এবং লোকেরা কাদার দাগ লাগে। এদিন শিশুরা নানাবিধ ঘরোয়া খেলা খেলে তাদের সময়কে উপভোগ করে। আমি আমার ভাইদের সাথে গল্প করে এবং বিভিন্ন গল্পের বই পড়ে দিনটি অতিবাহিত করি। পরিশেষে বৃষ্টির দিন সকল সুবিধা এবং সুবধিা নিয়েই একটি প্রাকৃতিক ঘটনা।
