Ans:

Load-shedding is a common phenomenon in the areas supplied with electricity in countries like ours. It means the discontinuation of supply of electricity. Load-Shedding occurs when supply of electricity is less than the demand. Unplanned distribution is also responsible. Load-shedding hampers us in many ways. Mills, factories, houses, hospitals, shops etc. all fall victim to load-shedding. Failure of electricity hampers productivity in factories and industries. Medical operations are stopped. Food items kept in refrigerators get rotten. Commodities kept in cold storage's get spoiled. Load-shedding at night causes greater problems. Housewives in the kitchen grope in the darkness. Students have to sit idly closing their books. The deplorable plight of the sick and the old beggar’s description on a hot summer day when electricity goes off. To cope with the situation created by load-shedding, candles, charge lights, IPS etc. can be used. To get rid of load-shedding, all necessary steps should be taken to produce the needed amount of electricity and ensure proper distribution.

অনুবাদঃ আমাদের মত দেশে যেখানে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ আছে এমন এলাকায় বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট একটি সাধারণ ঘটনা। এর অর্থ বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহের বিচ্ছিন্নতা। যখন চাহিদার তুলনায় বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ কম থাকে তখন বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট ঘটে। অপরিকল্পিত বণ্টনও এজন্য দায়ী। বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট নানাভাবে আমাদের ক্ষতি করে। কল কারখানা, বাড়ি, হাসপাতাল, দোকান ইত্যাদি সবকিছুই বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাটের শিকার হয়। বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট শিল্পকারখানার উৎপাদন ব্যাহত করে। মেডিকেল অপারেশণ বন্ধ হয়ে যায়। হিমায়কযন্ত্রে রাখা খদ্যাসামগ্রী পঁচে যায়। হিমাগারে রাখা দ্রব্যসামগ্রী নষ্ট হয়ে যায়। রাত্রিকালে বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট বৃহত্তর সমস্যা সৃষ্টি করে। রান্না ঘরে গৃহিণীরা অন্ধকারে হাতড়ে বেড়ায়। ছাত্রদেরকে বই বন্ধ করে অলসভাবে বসে থাকতে হয়। গ্রীষ্মের উত্তপ্ত দিনে অসুস্থ এবং বৃদ্ধদের শোচনীয় অবস্থা বর্ণনাতীত হয়ে ওঠে। যখন বিদ্যুৎ চলে যায়। বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট দ্বারা সৃষ্ট পরিস্থিতি মোকাবিলায়, মোমবাতি, চার্জলাইট, আই.পি.এস ইত্যাদি ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে। বিদ্যুৎ বিভ্রাট থেকে মুক্তি পেতে হলে, প্রয়োজনীয় পরিমাণে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন এবং যথাযথ বণ্টন নিশ্চিত করতে প্রয়োজনীয় সকল পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া উচিত।
