Ans:

A day labourer is a person who runs his/her family by working hard on daily basis. He is not skilled at all but he can work hard. Generally, he has no land or property of his own. He renders his manual labour for others to earn some money. He has to work hard in various fields or sectors. Every day he rises early in the morning and goes out to work. He has to work from down to dust. He gets his wages at the end of the day. On some days he earns more and then he and his family can eat well. It makes him happy. But it does not happen regularly as sometimes he does not find any work. Then he and his family have to suffer much or even starve. Sorrows and sufferings are his daily companions. Besides, many people maltreated him. But the service of a day labourer is very essential and valuable for us and our society as well. Considering all these, the government should take steps so that he can lead a humane and decent life.  

অনুবাদঃ দিন মজুর হল এমন একজন ব্যক্তি যে দৈনিক চুক্তিতে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে সংসার চালায়। সে মোটেই দক্ষ নয় তবে সে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করতে পারে। সাধারণত তার নিজের কোনো জমি বা সম্পত্তি নেই। কিন্তু অর্থ উপার্জন করতে সে অন্যের জন্য শারীরিক শ্রম দেয়। তাকে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করতে হয়। প্রত্যেক দিন সে সকালে ঘুম থেকে ওঠে এবং কাজের জন্য বের হয়। তাকে সকাল থেকে সন্ধ্যা পর্যন্ত কাজ করতে হয়। দিনের শেষে সে তার মজুরি পায়। সে কোনো কোনো দিন বেশি আয় করে এবং তখন সে ও তার পরিবার ভালোভাবে খেতে পারে। এটি তাকে সুখী করে। কিন্তু এটি নিয়মিত ঘটে না কারণ সে মাঝে মধ্যে কোনো কাজই পায় না। তখন তাকে এবং তার পরিবারকে অনেক দুর্ভোগ পোহাতে হয় অথবা এমনকি অভুক্ত থাকতে হয়। দুঃখ এবং দুর্ভোগ তার নিত্য সঙ্গী। তাছাড়া অনেক লোক তার সাথে দুর্ব্যবহার করে। ক্তিু একজন দিনমজুরের সেবা আমাদের এবং আমাদের সমাজের জন্যও খুবই প্রয়োজনীয় এবং মূল্যবান। এসব দিক বিবেচনা করে সরকারের পদক্ষেপ নেয়া উচিত যাতে সে মানবিক এবং শালীন জীবনযাপন করতে পারে।
