Traffic jam is a crowded mass of vehicles on roads that makes movement difficult or impossible. It is a great nuisance for the modern society. It causes unspeakable suffering for city or town dwellers. Many vehicles moving on the same road at the same time cause traffic jam. Besides, many of the traffic police are not sincere. They are not inclined to do their duties honestly. Drivers are indifferent to traffic rules. They want to get more and more passengers stopping buses here and there. All these things together cause traffic jam. Moreover, the unlimited number of rickshaws plying on streets is another cause of traffic jam. Generally, traffic jam occurs in the morning when students and workers go to their respective destinations and in the afternoon and evening when they return home. It kills our valuable time. Students often fail to attend classes in time, workers get late at their workplaces and patients have to suffer indescribable sufferings due to traffic jam. This nuisance should not be allowed to continue. Strict laws should be imposed to control traffic jam. Exemplary punishment should be given to the drivers who do not obey the traffic rules. Above all, the traffic authority should be active to enforce the traffic rules and maintain discipline on streets and roads.
